| Job Description:The individual will be a member of the zOS/390 Database Services DB2/SAP team located in U.S.A, reporting to DB2/SAP Team Lead. The Database Support Team provides database administration and system support for the database component of the computing environment used by SAP at Deere. Job Responsibilities:SAP - DB2 zOS/390, UDB LUW, and SAP DB SupportDatabase Administration Support 1. Monitor space utilization2. Update database statistics using runstats3. Provide database backup/recovery4. Database reorganization5. Database performance tuning6. Perform database copy/cloningSystems Support1. Backup/Recovery of system data sets2. Build new systems3. Install new software releases4. Apply system maintenanceSupport DB2 Data Sharing Sysplex EnvironmentProvide ICLI supportProvide DRDA supportProvide problem determination and resolutionSpecial project assignmentsOn-call real time problem determination and supportDevelop, update, manage and document DBA processes and tools.Job Qualifications Experience with DB2 zOS/390 Database and System Administration in a SAP environment.Oral English required.Experience with UDB LUW Database and System Administration in a SAP environment.Knowledge and experience with the MVS mainframe (JCL, DB2, REXX programming).Basic AIX Administration skills.Experience with SAS, ESP, Unix Shell programming, and SMP/E processing.Experience with EMC TimeFinder or IBM FlashCopy technologyAbility to grasp new technical concepts quickly.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Required to participate in the team on-call support rotation and be available for off-shift problem resolution or project related coverage.
