Job Tiltle: Application Engineer Level 3
Repotrs To: General Manager
Job Scope: Customer Interface, Manufacturing Interface
Job Responsibilities:
Customer Interface:
Facilitation of the proposal process
Make visits and follow up on visits with customers
Communicate with customers on product specifications
Facilitate the proposal process; present technical solutions to customers
Identify customer technical requirements, facilitate RFQ responses and follow up with customers
Facilitate prototype delivery and approvals
Manufacturing Interface with ESL Shanghai:
Incorporate manufacturability into product designs
Manufacturing interface with ESL Shanghai
Discuss/evaluate alternate manufacturing solutions with manufacturing engineers and/or vendors
Resolve product design issues in production
Skills Required:
Excellent English and Chnese communication skills on a technical level
Excellent English/Chinese translations skills, oral and written
Multi-tasking ability
Excellent interpersonal skills
Background in mechanical and/or electrical product design environment
Ability to read/interpret files using CAD Tools: Pro-E or equivalent, Autocad and others
Excellent understanding of plastic/elastomeric molding techniques
Strong innovation ability
Quick learning and self-learing capability
Computer skills mandatory
Education and Work Experience Required:
Minimum University graduate
5 years experience in a mechanical/Electronic product design environment
Minimum English CET Level 6, and tested for oral English ability
Proven skills in English/Chinese translations and communications
Exposure to customer interfacing/solution sales
