MAIN PURPOSE AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position is to provide a competitive sourcing solution, continuous materail supply, and project support to the needs of operational growth in Xiamen
KEY RESULT AREAS AND CHARACTERISTICS:
• Provide sourcing solutions and purchasing operational excellence to support business growth in Xiamen
To work closely with commodity and procurement team to deliver a competitive total cost solution, including supplier selection, localization, raw material productivity, quality and technology assurance, on time delivery, supplier quality assurance, inventory control, etc.
• Manage purchasing and procurement team in manufacturing location, including organization development, competence improvement, KPIs, purchasing processes enhancement, routine administration, performance appraisal and objectives setting.
To make sure there’s a good leadership on purchasing team to drive continuous improvement
• Responsible for productivity projects and product cost evolving, and ensure product cost strategies are linked to customer satisfaction
To drive and track material productivity and product cost roadmap, ensure raw material cost can support customer needs, as well as internal resources readiness.
• Provide purchasing support to new product development and transfer in Xiamen
• Coach internal organizations regarding purchasing management.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor Degree or above in engineering or business management
• Minimum 8 years of purchasing experience and 3-5 years of management experience in electronic manufacturing, multi-national company experience is preferred
• Good organizational, time management, and analytical skills
• Good problem solving, decision making, and organizational skills
• Excellent spoken and written English and Chinese
• Basic knowledge and experience of ISO9000/QS9000/TS16949
• Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work in a team environment.
